Luis Martín Cabiedes. Barcelona. Has a Philosophy degree, an MBA of IESE, and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA institute). In 1989 he joined the family company, Europa Press. The agency, in which he was co-chairman for 12 years, he has always been associated with launching new business lines: he launched Europa Press Television, Europa Press Communication, and merge the area of graphics and stories. Later, beginning in 1995, he took the agency to be the leading position in the Internet, and from that position began to invest in startups, investment activity that was growing in importance to become its main activity since 2001. Luis has made over 20 investments in early-stage technology based companies, most of them in the Internet world. Among its investments are OLE, MYALERT, ACCESO, BAQUIA, or more recently PRIVALIA, NVIVO; TROVIT and BUBOK. Over the past few years he is also a part-time professor at the IESE, where he teaches Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Finance.
