Accesibility options

The Tourism Office of the Government of the Canary Islands has chosen the latest development technologies for web standards in order to make access to information easier. We highlight the following:

  • Typographies in percentage size. Source size can be changed to fit user needs.
  • Full layout with CSS, separating structure from visual style, improving access to contents and page loading speed.
  • Printing templatewith CSS. Contents can be easily printed in a format suitable for reading them.
  • Access to main sections with keyboard short cuts..
  • If the browser is not compatible with these technologies, information can still be accessed in a lineal way.
  • Development with web standards. In most cases, our pages are validated following W3C official specifications and advice (XHTML 1.0 strict and CSS 2.0) and have passed several quality, usability and accesibility tests.
